How to Stream Madden 27 to Twitch From PS5 or Xbox
Both consoles stream to Twitch on their own, with no capture card and no PC. On a PS5, link Twitch under Settings, Users and Accounts, Linked Services, then press the Create button in the game and choose Broadcast. On an Xbox, open the guide, go to Capture & share and choose Live streaming.
Before you go live
You need a Twitch account, the console signed in and online, and Madden 27 installed. Two settings on the Twitch side save trouble later.
- Two-factor authentication. Turn it on in your Twitch account’s security settings. A PlayStation will not broadcast to a Twitch account without it.
- Low latency. On twitch.tv, open the Creator Dashboard, then Settings, Stream, and set Latency mode to Low latency. It locks in when a broadcast starts, so set it before you go live. It takes about four seconds off the delay, which is four seconds sooner on the board.
Stream Madden 27 to Twitch from a PS5
- Link Twitch once. From the home screen go to Settings, Users and Accounts, Linked Services, choose Twitch, select Link Account and follow the steps on screen. You can also link it the first time you broadcast.
- Start Madden 27 and get into your game or your squad’s lobby.
- Press the Create button on the controller and select Broadcast.
- Choose Twitch and enter your broadcast information. Broadcast Options adds your camera or party audio.
- Select Go Live. The broadcast card in the control center shows you are live, and Stop Broadcast on that card ends it.
Video quality, the microphone and the camera live under Settings, Captures and Broadcasts, Broadcasts. Sony’s own steps are in How to stream gameplay with Broadcast on PS5 consoles and How to link social media accounts and streaming services, and Twitch has its own PlayStation walkthrough.
Stream Madden 27 to Twitch from an Xbox
Twitch streaming is built into the Xbox dashboard on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, with no app and no capture card.
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide and go to Capture & share.
- Choose Live streaming. The first time, link Twitch by scanning the QR code with your phone or opening the link shown on screen, and sign in.
- Set the stream title, game and mic audio, and whether party chat goes out. Resolution and bitrate can be set by hand if your connection needs it.
- Go live, then launch Madden 27. Leave a game and Twitch holds a pause screen until the next one starts.
Microsoft’s walkthrough is on Xbox Wire, Xbox Support has the current menus, and Twitch has its own Xbox walkthrough.
Check it before the game
Open your channel on twitch.tv, in a browser or on your phone, and make sure it shows live. Stream the full screen with the HUD uncovered: no camera box or overlay over the score strip, the gamertags or the play-call screens, because that is what the board reads.
If a PS5 broadcast hangs on preparing, unlink Twitch under Linked Services and link it again; that is Sony’s own fix. If Twitch refuses the link, check that two-factor authentication is on.
How MutRadar handles it
Once the console is live there is nothing else to set up on it. In MutRadar, save your Twitch channel in Profile, under Stream, and start your party. MutRadar reads the broadcast the same way a viewer does, so it needs the stream to be public and live, and nothing touches the console or the game.
From the stream it reads the scoreboard, the down and distance and the play-call screens, which is how the board knows the formation and what this opponent has run out of it before the next snap. Twitch is the preferred platform because it hands MutRadar partial segments as they are produced, the fastest route to the board; YouTube works too. One stream covers the whole party, so in 2v2 and 3v3 every seat sees the same read.
